December 5, 2016 - Intelligence Analyst 3 (Closes December 12, 2016)

Description: Under the direction of the Bureau Chief of the Analysis Bureau, the Intelligence Analyst 3 will be responsible for conducting intelligence analysis based on a variety of sources, including highly sensitive classified reporting, investigative information and databases from a variety of law enforcement agencies, and open-source and academic information; performing analysis on the terrorist threat to the State of New Jersey, including the threat from various international and domestic terrorist groups and the threat to the critical infrastructure sectors in New Jersey; communicating the results of intelligence analysis in a timely manner, both in written products and oral briefings; providing intelligence support to cases being pursued by criminal investigators; representing NJOHSP at a variety of interagency meetings, working groups, conferences, and other meetings as directed; and appropriate administrative responsibilities as delegated by superiors.

Internships

The Spring 2017 application process is now closed.

Requirements:

  • Students must:
    • currently be enrolled full-time in an accredited college or university;
    • have completed a minimum of 48 college credits or two years;
    • include a writing sample (not to exceed 500 words), resume, unofficial transcript and cover letter discussing why you wish to intern for NJOHSP with your completed application; a letter of recommendation is optional;
    • undergo a Level 1 background investigation check;
    • have U.S. citizenship or permanent residence status;
    • be available for Orientation on February 1, 2017 from 9:00am - 5:00 pm.

This program gives students the opportunity to receive training and career development while earning college credits and gaining valuable work experience.
