Medical Management of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) Events: TEEX (PER-211)

The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness  and the Monmouth County Fire Marshal's Office will be sponsoring a two-day training course titled, “Medical Management of Chemical, Biological, Radiological, Nuclear, and Explosive (CBRNE) Events (PER-211).” The training will be delivered by the Texas Engineering Extension Service, member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium. 

COST: None, but please preregister as seating is limited.

DESCRIPTION:
Participants completing this program will be able to properly perform patient triage, decontamination, treatment, and transportation in the event of exposure to chemical, biological, radiological, nuclear, and explosive (CBRNE) weapons. The course consists of facilitated discussions, small group exercises, hands-on activities, and task-oriented practical applications. Course participants will use both state-of-the-art adult and pediatric human patient simulators to promote critical thinking skills while utilizing the RAPID – Care concept.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Emergency management, emergency medical services, fire service, governmental administrative, law enforcement, healthcare, public health, public safety communications, community volunteer, security and safety personnel.
