This one day Active Shooter Workshop has been designed to provide public and private sector business and security managers, security personnel and law enforcement officers with the tools needed to develop Active Shooter Plans for their businesses and facilities. The workshop is based on the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) training course: Active Shooter: What You Can Do. The workshop will include the following topics: History of Active Shooter incidents; Potential workplace violence indicators; How to develop an Active Shooter plan (includes actions to take to prepare for and respond to an active shooter incident and how to manage the consequences); Scenario-based exercise on handling an Active Shooter incident at your facility.
