SESSION ONE: Ransomware - 9:30 - 11:30 AM

This presentation is designed to educate audiences about the threat of ransomware, a type of malware that attempts to extort money from victims by restricting access to a computer system, files, or device. Analysts from the New Jersey Cybersecurity & Communications Integration Cell will provide an in-depth look at this rapidly growing and pervasive threat and explain how it works and how best to protect data and networks against commonly used attack vectors.

Session Two: Dark Web - 1:00 - 3:00 PM
(Law Enforcement Only)

Agency ID required at check-in.
This presentation is designed to provide law enforcement with a basic understanding of the Dark Web and TOR network. Analysts from the New Jersey Cybersecurity & Communications Integration Cell will outline the origins of the Dark Web, how to access these networks, cryptocurrency, and the types of illicit information/goods/services that are available for purchase. A live demonstration of the TOR network will conclude the presentation.
