Critical Asset Risk Management: TEEX (MGT-315)

The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness will sponsor multiple sessions of a two-day training course titled, “Critical Asset Risk Management” (MGT-315). The Texas Engineering Extension Service, a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium, will deliver the course.

COST: None, but please preregister as seating is limited.

DESCRIPTION:
The Critical Asset Risk Management course teaches the critical components of risk management and provides participants the fundamentals of determining and mitigating risks associated with their critical infrastructure. Through a combination of lecture, facilitated discussion, and group activities, participants will learn how threats, vulnerabilities, and consequences determine risk and are given an opportunity to practice the fundamentals of conducting vulnerability assessments by conducting on-site assessments of select local facilities. Additionally, they will identify potential mitigation measures associated with their findings and work together to develop and present a risk assessment report.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
This course is for participants interested in obtaining the TEEX Infrastructure Protection Certificate. The certificate is for professionals who wish to enrich their personal knowledge and skills related to critical infrastructure security and resilience. Participants can request to receive a certificate once all four courses (AWR-213, MGT-310, MGT-315, and MGT-414) are completed.
