Sport & Special Event Evacuation and Protective Actions (MGT-412)

The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness and New Jersey State Police will sponsor a two- day training course titled, Sport & Special Event Evacuation and Protective Actions (MGT-412). The course will be facilitated by the National Center for Spectator Sports Safety and Security (NCS4) located at the University of Southern Mississippi and the Texas Engineering Extension Service (TEEX), members of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC).

COST: None, but please preregister as seating is limited.

DESCRIPTION:
The course aids sport venue managers & first responders to prepare and/or enhance evacuation planning capabilities to assist emergency responders in implementing flexible and scalable protective measures for evacuation and sheltering-in-place. Participants will collaborate on evacuation and sheltering plans with actionable decision criteria that can be adapted for almost any event. These measures can be used in isolation or in response to a larger, multi-agency response initiative.
