Bombing Prevention Awareness Course: DHS (AWR-348)

The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness will sponsor several sessions of Bombing Prevention Awareness Course (AWR-348). The course will be instructed by the Office for Bombing Prevention (OBP) within the Department of Homeland Security (DHS).

COST: None, but please preregister as seating is limited.

DESCRIPTION:
The Bombing Prevention Awareness Course provides participants knowledge of general bombing prevention measures that aid in mitigating the impact of a bombing incident, including: IED construction and classification, Homemade explosive (HME) precursor awareness, Explosive effects mitigation, Introduction to the terrorist attack cycle, Identification of suspicious behaviors and items.

TARGET AUDIENCE:
Public and private sector individuals interested in or required to have a basic awareness of bombing prevention measures. Public safety personnel, emergency managers, law enforcement, and special event security personnel can also benefit from the course.
CEUS will be awarded to NJ Fire Instructors by NJ DFS who complete the course.
8 CEUs will be awarded to New Jersey Emergency Medical Technicians who complete the course.
