The National Center for Biomedical Research and Training (NCBRT) at Louisiana State University (LSU), a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC) will be presenting the DHS approved training course entitled, "Law Enforcement Prevention and Deterrence of Terrorist Acts, (AWR-122).
Cost: None, but spaces are limited and registration is required.
Law enforcement officers are part of the front-line defense in preventing and deterring WMD terrorist incidents when the release of WMD agents is likely to occur as a result of criminal actions. The nature of their daily work environment provides them with an enhanced understanding of their community the general public does not share. This heightened community awareness, as well as the possibility that they may encounter terrorists unknowingly while conducting patrol functions, provides law enforcement officers with a unique opportunity to prevent or deter potential WMD terrorist incidents.
