Understanding and Planning for School Bomb Incidents: NMT (AWR-132)

The Energetic Materials Research & Testing Center (EMRTC) at New Mexico Tech (NMT), a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC), will be instructing a four-hour course entitled: "Understanding and Planning for School Bomb Incidents" (AWR-132).

COST: None, but please preregister as seating is limited.

DESCRIPTION

This four-hour awareness level course provides participants with the language and tools required to effectively assess school bomb incident response plans and guide recommendations. The course identifies the factors involved in school bomb threats; critical response actions based on scenario types; the primary components of an improvised explosive device; and critical components of a school bomb related response plan.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Education Administration, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Service, Law Enforcement, Public Safety Communications.
