The NJ Regional Intelligence Academy (RIA) will be hosting a two day program titled: “Scenario-Based Training”.
COST: None, but please preregister as seating is limited.
This two-day awareness course is designed to develop the analytic competencies of intelligence analysts so they can be effective leaders in New Jersey’s public safety community. The participants of this course will utilize intelligence analysis, hypothesis formulation, collection plans, intelligence estimates, and written intelligence assessments as a means to improve public safety planning and impact operating environments to better facilitate New Jersey’s intelligence-led approach to public safety.
This course complements the skills learned by analysts during previous training programs such as the Intermediate Fusion Center Analyst Training Program (IFCAT). This program utilizes an integrated scenario simulating true intelligence operations through which analysts can practice skills learned during previous coursework.
Course participants work in groups consisting of four analysts required to coordinate their analysis at different points. Each of these groups will have a group leader whom will provide the direction for the group’s analysis and briefing preparation. Groups will practice writing and briefing skills throughout the two-day exercise, as all members of the group will be required to present their intelligence analysis at different times during the two-day exercise.
This course is recommended for all public safety intelligence analysts with a minimum of five years intelligence analytical experience.
