First Responder Stress Management in the Wake of Mass Violence

The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness (NJOHSP) along with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI), New Jersey State Police (NJSP), and the New Jersey Department of Human Services (NJDHS) will be hosting a four-hour seminar for first responders.

COST: None, but please preregister as seating is limited.

DESCRIPTION

First responders are trained to utilize tactical strategies in crisis situations, so they can quickly protect lives and property. However, high-crisis incidents can overwhelm normal coping mechanisms and trigger traumatic-stress disorders for first responders.

TARGET AUDIENCE

All first responders.
