Understanding and Planning for School Bomb Incidents: NMT (AWR-132)

The New Jersey Office of Homeland Security and Preparedness is sponsoring a four hour training program titled: "Understanding and Planning for School Bomb Incidents" (UPSBI) which will be instructed by the Energetic Materials Research & Testing Center (EMRTC) at New Mexico Tech (NMT), a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC).

COST: None, but please preregister as seating is limited.

DESCRIPTION

This four-hour awareness level course provides participants with the language and tools required to effectively assess school bomb incident response plans and guide recommendations. The course identifies the factors involved in school bomb threats; critical response actions based on scenario types; the primary components of an improvised explosive device; and critical components of a school bomb related response plan.

TARGET AUDIENCE

Education Administration, Emergency Management, Emergency Medical Services, Fire Service, Law Enforcement, Public Safety Communications.
