  • Picatinny Arsenal 3501 Snake Hill Road Rockaway, NJ, 07866

The Energetic Materials Research & Testing Center (EMRTC) at New Mexico Tech (NMT), a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC), is instructing the 8 hour training course titled, "Initial Law Enforcement Response to Suicide Bombing Attack" (ILERSBA).

COST: None, but please preregister as seating is limited.

DESCRIPTION

ILERSBA was developed with support and cooperation from the Department of Homeland Security, National Bomb Squad Commanders Advisory Board, and New Mexico Tech to provide front line law enforcement officers with the skills and knowledge to effectively interdict and respond to an imminent suicide bombing attack (person-borne or vehicle-borne) or a non-suicide attack involving a vehicle-borne device.

Based on the Needs Assessment for this course there is a significant training gap for first line Law Enforcement to interdict and respond safety and effectively to person-borne suicide IED attacks or vehicle-borne IED attacks. This course is intended to meet those needs and deals specifically with immediate decisions and actions in face to face encounters of person-borne and vehicle-borne IED attacks.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This program is limited to US citizens who are actively employed as Law enforcement officers assigned to patrol duties, their immediate supervisors, and administrators.
