Understanding and Planning for School Bomb Incidents (UPSBI)

The Energetic Materials Research & Testing Center (EMRTC) at New Mexico Tech (NMT), a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC), is instructing a 4 hour awareness training course titled, "Understanding and Planning for School Bomb Incidents" (UPSBI).

COST: None, but please preregister as seating is limited.

DESCRIPTION

This DHS training program provides participants with the language and tools required to effectively assess school bomb incident response plans and guide recommendations.

The course identifies the factors involved in school bomb threats; critical response actions based on scenario types; the primary components of an improvised explosive device; and critical components of a school bomb related response plan.

TARGET AUDIENCE

This program is limited to US citizens who are actively employed or volunteer as members of a first responder or emergency management agency.
