Homemade Explosives: Awareness, Recognition, and Response (HME)

The Energetic Materials Research & Testing Center (EMRTC) at New Mexico Tech (NMT), a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC), is instructing a 4 hour awareness training course titled, "Understanding and Planning for School Bomb Incidents" (UPSBI).

COST: None, but please preregister as seating is limited.

DESCRIPTION

This DHS training program was designed for all levels of first responders who may respond to or encounter a homemade explosives incident.

The objectives are to recognize and identify commercial precursors, physical characteristics, processing equipment and components as well as apply legal principles to determine probable cause and identify appropriate use of force options in suicide bombing incidents. 

TARGET AUDIENCE

Registration for this program is limited to US citizens who are actively employed or volunteer as members of a first responder or emergency management agency.
