The NJ Regional Intelligence Academy (RIA) will be hosting a FREE delivery of the workshop titled: “Current Trends in Open Source Queries: A Public Safety Perspective".
The growth of retrieving information from the internet and other public domains has been a tremendous asset for many sectors, including commerce; research, as well as public safety entities. Access to information has multiplied so many times over the last decade that the structure and content of queries is constantly changing.
This course will take a snapshot of where the field of open source queries has evolved from. Additionally, participants will learn what is trending now in open source domains, and what today’s public safety official can reasonably expect tomorrow to look like in the world of open source queries and reporting.
Identify legacy trends in open source queries
List various open source sites and tools for public safety inquiry
Create a portfolio of open source references for review and consideration consistent with your agency protocols
Recognize the potential advantages and challenges presented by emerging trends in open source inquiry for the public safety professional
This program is designed for law enforcement and homeland security analysts. Class is limited to 35 participants.
