The National Center for Biomedical Research and Training (NCBRT) at Louisiana State University (LSU), a member of the National Domestic Preparedness Consortium (NDPC) will be presenting the DHS approved training course entitled, "Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response (LASER)/Train the Trainer" (PER-275.1).

COST: None, but please preregister as seating is limited.

DESCRIPTION

The Law Enforcement Active Shooter Emergency Response (LASER) course encompasses the culmination of this effort. Law enforcement can no longer rely on response tactics of the past. This course addresses technical aspects of planning and implementing a rapid law enforcement deployment to an active shooter incident. This is achieved through classroom presentations, hands-on performance-based field training, and scenario-based practical exercises.

TARGET AUDIENCE

For LASER Course: Law Enforcement.

For Train-the-Trainer: Established trainers/instructors in academies, agencies or departments who are seeking to train participants by teaching the Indirect version of this course using materials provided by NCBRT.
